Single Tooth Implant Treatment in India

Nowadays, the best approach to replace a single missing (lost) tooth is with implant. By replacing your lost tooth with implant the conventional bridge approach which requires grinding of the adjacent teeth can be avoided. Hence your teeth are preserved in their natural form.

It is surgically placed in an opening that the dentist makes in the jawbone. After the implant integrates to your bone, it acts as a new root for the crown which will replace your missing tooth. A crown which is made to look like a natural tooth is attached to the implant and fills the space left in the mouth by the missing tooth.

Procedure of Single Tooth Implant

Before the procedure

The dentist makes a first For Single Tooth Implant procedure to work there must be enough bone in the jaw. The bone has to be strong enough to hold and support the implant. If there is not enough bone, it might need to be added with a procedure called the bone grafting or bone augmentation. In addition, the natural teeth and the supporting tissues near where the implant is placed must be in good health. and takes one or more x-rays of the area to prepare for the procedure.

What is the difference between an Implant and Bridge?

Unlike a bridge, which requires RCT and grinding down of neighboring teeth, an Implant is inserted into the bone and takes direct support from it like a natural tooth.

Anchoring the implant into the bone produces mechanical changes which help in more bone formation.

Which materials are used for Implants and is it safe for the body?

Titanium is the material of choice for implants. It is biocompatible and very well tolerated as well as safe for the body.

Is smoking a contraindication to the implant procedure?

Smoking delays the healing of tissues after implant placement and is hence discouraged after the procedure.

What is the success rate of implant procedure?

Surgical procedures usually do not have a success rate of 100% but the failure rate is very low. Depending on the surgeon’s expertise and good patient selection, failure usually does not occur.

Is the procedure painful?

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and is hence not painful. After the procedure, the patient takes painkillers for a few days which keep him comfortable post operatively too.

I am Wing Commander Dinesh Yadav, writing very honest review about my visit to Dwarka branch of My Dental Centre.

I was getting treated at Military establishments for dental care but the issue was not getting resolved to my satisfaction. I searched on internet for having a second opinion and found My Dental centre at Dwarka to make a visit.

I was attended by Ms Aarzoo Pathak MDS and I want to put it on record that the way she assessed my condition was very professional approach. Dr. Aarzoo briefed me about the anomalies in my treatment and made me aware about the present condition of oral health.

Dr. Aarzoo then treated me for next one and half hour at the clinic and let me tell you she has exceptional skills and highest professional standards. She was meticulous on smallest of adjustments and did a great job to treat me with Root Canal and the filling. She did all this with utmost care ensuring painless treatment.

I am thoroughly satisfied with Dr. Aarzoo and the staff with the way they conducted and the hygiene standards at the clinic.

Given a chance I would recommend the clinic and Dr. Aarzoo to everyone who desires quality oral care.

Overpriced and Poorly Managed

I recently got my wisdom tooth removed at this clinic in Dwarka. While the procedure was performed nicely, few things were quite unprofessional. The clinic is hard to locate—just an A4 paper on the door—and patients are made to wait in the adjoining immigration office, which felt disorganised.

No invoice was provided at billing, and I had to follow up myself despite their promise to share it the next day. They charged ₹8,000 for the procedure, which is higher than the ₹3,500–₹6,500 range quoted by other reputed clinics in Dwarka. For such a high price, the service should have been much better.
