Yes, regular follow ups are necessary to ensure smooth flow of the treatment and to check oral hygiene as well as aligners maintenance.

Yes, you need to be physically present as your treatment progress needs to be evaluated by your orthodontist at every stage.

After successful treatment with aligners, the aligned teeth have a tendency to go back to their original position in the span of 1 year. Therefore, fixed/removable appliances are given to the patient to retain the final position of the teeth which need to be worn for 1 year (according to the case) for permanent results.

A minimum 20-22 hours are recommended including night time. These only need to be removed while eating or brushing. So, patients can eat or drink anything, without any dietary changes.

Patients with very complicated teeth/ jaw misalignments, poor oral hygiene, smoking and who cannot commit to wearing aligners for 20-22 hours a day are not good candidates for aligner treatment.
